This historic old building was home to Ben Cropp and his “Shipwreck Museum” for many years but is now open to the public as a wonderful waterfront venue. Outdoors on the deck is a stunning location for both your ceremony and reception and only a short stroll away from St Mary’s by the Sea.
	Rex Smeal Park Port Douglas – overlooking the Coral Sea         Under the Fig Tree:    Stand Up: 200           Sit Down: 120 Entire Park Area:        Sit Down: 2,500 plus. Just along from St Mary’s by the Sea stretches the beautiful Rex Smeal Park overlooking the Coral Sea. This is a very popular location for ceremonies on the point, or on the private little beach. The park is suitable for a variety of receptions/events of all sizes. Our most popular is beneath the beautiful old weeping fig tree, which creates a stage for a magical setting with dripping fairy lights and chandeliers. This was the setting for our Award Winning Wedding entry for the 2007 RCQ Regional, State and National Awards.
